D&S Construction is family owned and operated.  Lin Drake , Travis Drake, and Debbie Drake have been in the building industry for over twenty five years with four construction companies across the country. One is in Southern Utah – D&S Construction of So. Ut., Inc. and one in North Carolina – D&S Construction of N.C., Inc, and one in South Carolina – D&S Construction of South Carolina, Inc. and California – Lin Drake Construction. Lin and Travis tag-team running the companies, while Debbie oversees management and design. Lin Drake is a past president of the Home Builders Association and has been a lobbyist to Washington, D.C. for the National Homebuilders Association representing the State of Utah. Travis brings next generation energy and goals to the company, building on an extensive background in the building industry. They have an in house award winning designer on staff in Debbie Drake, to assist in both house design and plans. She holds two degrees from SUU in Art and Interior Design, graduating Magna Cum Laude and with several honors. She was recently featured in Builder Architect Magazine in a special edition about women contractors and designers.

D&S Construction companies have built many subdivisions of tract homes and multi-family homes. They specialize in custom homes and have built ten Parade of Homes entries winning numerous awards including People’s Choice and Best of Show.

These construction companies have also built numerous small to mid level commercial projects. These projects include apartment buildings, storage units, and business office buildings.

Having built in many different climates and conditions, these companies have researched and used many unique building materials, searching for the right product to use in specific areas. One particular product which is environmentally friendly and fire resistant is Tech block, which is a specialized concrete and Styrofoam block, creating a solid sound and fire resistant structure. They have also built with Styrofoam block and Timberframe structures along with conventional building products.

One of D&S Construction’s main goals is to give back to the communities and to underprivileged whenever they can. They have made several trips to Mexico to help build orphanages, churches, and homes, worked as a group in LA’s inner city and several local events.

D&S Construction’s goal is to produce a quality product at an affordable price – a goal which they intend to leave as a legacy for many years to come.
